Creativity: It’s not what you think.

Many people think they’re not creative. They assume you’re either born with creativity or you’re not. Don Campbell views creativity as a learned skill that anyone can develop by understanding what creativity truly is, where it comes from, and what behaviors make it possible to push the boundaries of creativity and create something new.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience as a sculptor, as well as lessons learned from great artists and innovators throughout history, Don’s signature Artist Talk inspires audiences by showing sculptors, artists, and non-artists how to:


    • Stimulate the flow of creativity through a process of “deep listening.”
    • Expand listening capacity to include intuition.
    • Express creativity through sensing, not thinking.
    • Align oneself with one’s life’s purpose.
    • Overcome three obstacles that stop most people from following their creative impulse.
    • Achieve “presence” and “stillness,” the two essential portals to higher creativity.

Sculpture Classes

Basic Sculpture Class

There’s a technical aspect of sculpting that involves knowing how to manipulate clay, using the proper tools, and understanding the human anatomy. Don’s Basic Sculpture Class goes far deeper than the technical side of sculpting. Through demonstration, hands-on sculpting, and a process of deep listening, Don explains how to find your creative flow, listen to your inner voice, trust your intuition, and enhance your creativity. Students will learn both realistic and abstract approaches to sculpting. No experience is required.

The Art of the Portrait
Just as important as the physical dimensions of a portrait sculpture are the emotions that capture a moment in time and tell a deeper story. The Art of The Portrait Sculpture is a workshop in which Don shows students how to allow creativity to flow naturally as a character emerges. Although a live model will be present, students are encouraged to look beyond what they see and follow their inner creative impulses. This workshop is for those who have considered creating a portrait of a loved one or are interested in trying portraiture for the first time.
